I'm so pumped.

Our local AM radio station has a 1/2 hour program each weekday called Tradio. It is basically classified ads on the radio, only you don't have to pay for it. So, you can call in something you have that you're giving away or selling, or you can let people know that you are looking for something.

We've been talking about putting up a split rail fence in the backyard basically to keep the kids from running into the alley. It's not TOO expensive to do that compared to other kinds of fencing, but it could still be pricey.

I emailed Tradio saying that we are looking for any type of fencing and not more than 45 minutes after the show we had a call from a guy who has 50 feet of split rail fence (THE KIND WE WANTED ANYWAY) and a gate that is left-over from a project he did and he's willing to sell it for less than half the price we would pay at the store! Now, unless we get more calls about split rail fence, we will still have to purchase some, but still - 50 feet is 50 feet. AND a gate.

ROCK ON!

That makes me want to just tear up our entire backyard and re-do it. Hmmmm... maybe I shouldn't be so pumped.... :)
