Must see TV

We have a new addition to our must see TV list in our house.

Shark Tank - Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. on ABC

Premise: 5 self-made multi-billionaires decide whether or not they will invest their money in people's businesses. The entreprenour walks into the "shark tank", presents the idea they want funding for, how much money they are looking for and what stake in the company they are willing to give the "shark" if they invest in said company.

OH. MY. GOSH. Ryan and I watched it last week and again this week and were glued to the T.V. both nights.

Some ideas are ridiculous - i.e. a blue tooth headset IMPLANTED INTO YOUR HEAD behind your ear that you have to charge every night by sticking a charging device that is the size of a q-tip INTO your ear, seriously?!?

Some ideas are marvelous!

Last night there were two in particular that were GREAT. One was a teaching aid that incorporates modern music and Shakespeare in order to teach kids through song in a way they'll understand. GREAT! The sharks ALL went in on that one. The other is called Lifebelt and is basically an aftermarket piece you can install in your car that does not allow the vehicle to be started unless the seat belt is fastened. When R & J are old enough to drive, I would TOTALLY buy that product. The thought of them driving a car without and a seat belt and getting into an accident... well, let's not talk about that anymore. One shark offered the guy $500,000 to own the patent, another guy offered him $1,000,000 for the patent - both offers would have meant the guy was NOT involved in the business anymore. HE DIDN'T TAKE THE OFFER. Man, I was on the edge of my seat for that one.

Is anyone else out there watching this show?

(In case you're wondering - the other must see TV show in our house is The Office.)

I haven't seen this one yet but they have the same show on BBCA and it is called the Dragon's Den. It has been on a couple seasons, so if you can't get enough of this one check out that one as well!!

And you are right, sometimes the things they come up with are just crazy!
