Thank you.

This should have been said awhile ago, but thank you to those who supported R. in his quest to participate in a triathlon in honor of our friend, Jared. R. and our buddy Matt raised money to support Jared and Anne and their young family through Jared's battle with leukemia. Your support helped Anne stay home from work for another month to be by Jared's side - right where she needed to be - while he fought the hardest part of his battle with this disease.

I'm sad to say that Jared died yesterday. As my hubby said, "It was too soon, we'll miss you. You are a beautiful soul. You've helped us all see God and maybe understand him more..."

Jared's blog is at the side under my list of blogs I read. When you click on it type in "jaredhess" and it will take you there. It is an inspirational and heart wrenching blog of a person's open battle with a disease and trying to make sense of how faith and trust in God fits into it all.
