The Christmas season has officially started - we just went to the B-town parade and Santa arrived. Little R. had a terrific time.
Highlights - getting candy pelted at our heads, the old lady who was the Grand Marshal, truck after truck after truck (Little R. loved that part), the baton twirlers who were twirling fire batons, the BHS Marching Band, the commentators who really were trying to be interesting and funny, seeing Little R's face when Santa and Mrs. Clause "arrived" on the huge ladder fire truck.
There is just something about parades - I LOVE seeing the marching bands, I mean depending on the day and what is going on in my mind I almost start crying.
What about you, any favorite part of parades? Small town or otherwise?
