This is a poem my friend, Jen, wrote. She is a poet and is beginning her Master's level study of the subject. It's fun and silly. Enjoy!
Spider Bites
Last night
I was visited by
the ghost of the spider I killed
with a piece of paper
and threw into the basket
by the nightstand.
His gauzy folded legs floated up
from the crypt of under the bed
and carried him, spinning, spinning,
supernatural arachnid flotsam.
Here he did his worst.
In the light of the bathroom mirror,
I find his vapor bites, slight and pale,
which spell in 8-armed shorthand
across my face,
“See you tonight.”

Yikes, I'm glad she doesn't have any poems about frogs!
